Word Defenitions
This project revolved around the impact of type; it challenged me to visually express the definition of a word by only using the word itself. We were given three words to define visually using expressive typography. The three words I had were “uncomfortable”, “Prissy”, and “Additional”. Uncomfortable is meant to give the viewer the feeling that the letters themselves are experiencing discomfort in their cramped space, with a displeasing color palette to really emphasize that atmosphere. Prissy is a custom type in hot pink since women are typically called “prissy” with a crown that dots the I. And finally, Additional is separated down the middle by bold and italics, almost like it was added on, the blue is meant to remind of Microsoft Word.
